What is Let’s Play Word?

Let’s Play Word is a creative card game built around individual words. Through association, storytelling, questions, improvisation and creative challenges, the same word can lead to a different experience every time.

How many players can play Word?

Word can be played with two or more people. Share is designed for two or more players. Party is for four or more players and works best when everyone splits into teams.

What age group is Word suitable for?

Word is recommended for ages eight and up. Younger players can join with adult guidance or simplified rules.

How long does a typical game last?

A typical game lasts around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of players and how many rounds you choose to play.

Playing Word

What are the ways to play Word?

Word has two ways to play: Share and Party. Gameplay is organized around three modes—Challenge, Story and Question. The box contains four colored sets of the same 15 gameplay types; these are gameplays, not 15 separate modes.

What do I need to play Word?

The Word deck is the core requirement. For a timed gameplay, a separate timer may be useful.

Can the game be expanded or customized?

Yes. Wildcards let players add their own words. You can also mix modes and create house rules that suit the people you are playing with.

Is the deck available in multiple languages?

Yes. The multilingual deck includes English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish.

Can Word be adapted into a drinking game?

Players may adapt Word to their own game night, including adding drinking-game house rules. Please play responsibly.
